About

The story behind Wildlife Photographs and why I created this resource.

Capturing Wildlife, Sharing Knowledge

Welcome to Wildlife Photographs. I'm a passionate wildlife photographer based in the UK, and I created this site to share not just my images, but the practical knowledge I've gained exploring photography locations across the country.

Over the years, I've visited countless nature reserves, wetlands, and wild places. Some were perfectly suited to my needs, others less so. I've learned which locations have accessible paths for those with mobility challenges, which have facilities for families with young children, and which require a certain level of fitness to navigate.

This site brings all of that knowledge together in one place. Each location guide includes the practical details that are often missing from official websites—honest assessments of accessibility, realistic parking information, and genuine photography tips based on my own experiences.

Why This Site Exists

I believe everyone should be able to enjoy wildlife and nature photography, regardless of their mobility, age, or experience level. Too often, I've seen people arrive at locations only to find that the terrain is unsuitable, or facilities don't meet their needs.

By providing detailed accessibility information and honest suitability assessments, I hope to help you plan visits that work for you and your companions—whether that's an elderly parent, young children, or a friend who uses a wheelchair.

The equipment reviews are equally practical. Rather than studio tests and specification sheets, I share real-world experiences from actual wildlife photography outings. You'll learn how gear performs in the conditions that matter—early morning cold, wet hides, and the unpredictable behaviour of wild subjects.
